The Department of Home Affairs announced that both pool and pass mark for general skilled visas will increase to 65 on 1 July 2018. Affected are

s/c 189 Skilled Independent visas

s/c 190 Skilled Nominated visas

s/c 489 Skilled Regional Sponsored (provisional) visas
Only applications receiving an invitation on or after 1/7/2018 are affected. The change in points does not affect any higher points requirements for individual occupations such as for Engineers or Accountants.
