WA introduces visa pathway for international students

On Monday the WA government rolled out a new pathway to permanent residency for international students. International students in WA, who meet all requirements, are now able to apply for a skilled visa under the new graduate stream.

The most important requirements are:

  • Must meet the ‘Australian study requirement’ in WA

  • Have an occupation on the new WA Graduate Occupation List

  • Have a full time job offer in WA

  • Have at least ‘proficient English’

  • Must have work experience in their nominated occupation – unless they hold a WA Masters or WA PhD degree.

  • Must have sufficient funds to settle in WA

Applicants will be able to chose between the permanent s/c 190 visa or the provisional s/c 489 visa.

If you think the above pathway is for you, and you would like further information please don’t hesitate to book a consultation with our registered Migration Agent. Consultations for interstate or overseas clients can be arranged via Skype, WhatsApp or email on request.
