Last week, the Department of Home Affairs announced a change to the requirements for the s/c 189 Skilled Independent Visa, available to NZ Cititzens in Australia.
From the 1st July 2021 the income threshold for applicants will change. Under the new rule applicants must be able to meet the set income threshold (currently set at A$ 53,900 pa) in at least three out of the past five financial years. Please note one of these years must be the most recent financial year completed.
